[Korean Farmers' News Agency, Reporter Kang Jae-nam] The export of 2025 Jeju open-field mandarin oranges has begun. The Jeju Citrus Cooperative's Trade Office announced that it has started the export shipment of 18 tons to Canada on the 2nd, marking the beginning of the full-scale export of 2025 open-field mandarin oranges. Despite the discontinuation of logistics cost support for exported mandarin oranges last year, the Jeju Citrus Cooperative has established a plan to export approximately 1,400 tons, a 36% increase from the 1,031 tons exported last year. The cooperative plans to strengthen cooperation with local distributors in the export markets, and enhance localization strategies including quality control and packaging design improvements. By December, the mandarin oranges will be exported to over 10 countries including Russia, Canada, the United States, and Southeast Asia.
