Jeju City is promoting a pilot project to modernize kiwifruit facilities with the 2024 FTA Fund Kiwi High Quality Facility Modernization Pilot Project. The project will accept applications through local agricultural cooperatives until the 18th and will provide support for five facilities and the renovation of old houses. The project is open to businesses that participate in integrated production and distribution organizations or have a track record of participating in local food plans. However, businesses with non-agricultural income exceeding 37 million won and kiwi orchards newly established after March 15, 2012 are excluded from support. The city aims to increase the quality competitiveness of Jeju-produced kiwi and increase the income of kiwi farmers.
