According to the Korea Farmers and Fishermen's News, Jeju's greenhouse tangerine production is expected to decrease by 3.2% compared to the previous year. The Jeju Special Self-Governing Province reported that the 2025 greenhouse tangerine cultivation area and expected production volume will be 451 hectares and 26,600 tons, down 3.2% from the previous year's 27,521 tons. The province attributed the overall production decline to reduced flowering due to high temperatures last fall and increased physiological fruit drop during this spring's low temperatures. As a result of the greenhouse tangerine production decrease, shipment volumes have also dropped 30% as of the 13th, with the wholesale market average cumulative price reaching 27,917 won per kilogram.
