Jeju Livestock Farmers Association (Chairman Ko Gwon-jin) visited the disinfection facilities and checkpoints in Jeju Island on the 30th of last month to inspect the sites and deliver essential supplies in preparation for the Chuseok holiday. This visit was organized to emphasize the importance of thorough epidemic prevention management, given the increased likelihood of the introduction of foot-and-mouth disease and ASF virus into pig farms due to the rise in vehicle movement during the Chuseok holiday. Chairman Ko Gwon-jin stated, "With the continuous occurrence of livestock infectious diseases on the mainland, the role of epidemic prevention and disinfection activities is becoming even more crucial during the Chuseok holiday period due to the increase in returning travelers," and "We must ensure that all epidemic prevention activities are carried out flawlessly to keep Jeju clear."
