Jeju strengthens management of citrus distribution···comprehensive inspection of production, distribution, and sales

Jeju Special Self-Governing Province announced that it is strengthening special inspections on the distribution of citrus fruits in collaboration with the local police force to block the circulation of substandard citrus fruits. This special inspection focuses on acts that could lower the quality of citrus fruits and damage consumer trust, such as forced coloring, distribution of substandard citrus fruits, and failure to comply with quality inspections and labeling. In this special inspection, a fine will be imposed immediately without warning if substandard citrus fruits are caught in circulation, and a concentrated surveillance system will be established for habitual offenders to preemptively block illegal shipments outside the province.
