[Korean Farmers' News Agency, Reporter Kang Jae-nam] Jeju Special Self-Governing Province announced that it will strengthen special inspections on the distribution of non-standard tangerines in collaboration with the autonomous police force to block the circulation of non-standard tangerines in the market. This special inspection focuses on acts that may lower the quality of tangerines and damage consumer trust, such as △ forced coloring △ distribution of non-standard tangerines △ failure to comply with quality inspection and quality labeling. In this special inspection, a fine will be imposed immediately without warning if the distribution of non-standard tangerines is detected, and a focused surveillance system will be established for habitual offenders to preemptively block illegal shipments outside the province. Particularly, in early to mid-November, when the shipment of ultra-early tangerines is completed.
