Jeollanam-do Farmers Association Hosts 'Rural Field Experience' Event with Gwangju Consumers

[By Lee Kang-san, Korea Farmers and Fishermen's Newspaper] The Jeonnam Provincial Women Farmers Association (Chairman Kim Mae-sook) held a 'Rural Field Experience with Gwangju Consumer Citizens' Group' event for one night and two days starting July 11 in the Goheung County area. Around 80 members of the Gwangju Consumer Citizens' Group and the Jeonnam Provincial Women Farmers Association participated in diverse programs including corn, blueberry, and peach harvesting, and making lettuce wrap vegetable salads, forming a consensus and sharing mutual understanding. Kim Mae-sook, chairwoman of the Jeonnam Provincial Women Farmers Association, said, "Through this event, urban residents can experience agricultural work sites, understand the difficulties of agricultural sites, and feel the joy of harvest."
