[Hankuk Nong-eom Sinmun, Reporter Gu Jeong-min] Jeonbuk Agricultural Cooperative held a shipment ceremony for the 2025 sweet potatoes produced in Gongdeok Agricultural Cooperative, which were exported to Thailand, on the 21st. This export is part of the "Application of Sweet Potato Quality Improvement Technology and Ship Export Evaluation" demonstration project promoted by the Rural Development Administration. It involves applying step-by-step technologies such as storage, washing, skin management, selection, and CA containers to the Beniharu and Sodami varieties to verify the quality for long-distance sea transport. Jeonbuk Agricultural Cooperative plans to conduct local promotions in Thailand to check consumer reactions and lay the groundwork for future export expansion. Jeonbuk Agricultural Cooperative Director Lee Jeong-hwan said, "This will be a verification of the overseas competitiveness of domestic sweet potatoes using domestic technology."
