The province of Jeonnam announced that it has achieved the national No. 1 position for the 'low-carbon agricultural certification area', a goal set for the first time this year to respond to the climate crisis and to secure a head start in the low-carbon agricultural product market. According to the Korea Rural Development Administration, Jeonnam's low-carbon agricultural certification results are 5664 hectares across 284 cases, accounting for 33% of the national certified area of 18,935 hectares, making it the largest in the nation. This represents a 240% increase, about three times the certified area of 1,660 hectares from last year.
