Jeonnam Province submits plan for 2028 Wando International Seaweed Expo

Jeonnam Province has submitted a plan and application for the 2028 Wando International Seaweed Industry Expo to the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, and has initiated the system to promote the expo aimed at strengthening the global competitiveness of the seaweed industry. The 2028 Wando International Seaweed Industry Expo is scheduled to be held from April 21 to May 14, 2028, in Wando County. The expo aims to strengthen the international status of K-seaweed, secure a global leap through world market preemption and export competitiveness. Through the expo, Jeonnam Province plans to strengthen the growth foundation of the domestic seaweed industry and lead the establishment of a global marine bio-industry ecosystem.
