Volunteers from the Small Farmers Movement, Pastoral Land Commission, Base Ecclesiastical Communities, and other organizations have initiated the Seeds of Solidarity Mission, producing 5,000 sweet potato seedlings to be distributed among farmers affected by floods in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. This initiative, inspired by Pope Francis' encyclical Laudato Si, aims to promote self-sustainability and hope among affected farmers by spring, when the seedlings will be ready for planting. The project also plans to produce fruit tree seedlings and is seeking volunteer support and financial donations.
