A collaborative team consisting of the Indonesian Navy, the Jambi Animal, Fish and Plant Quarantine Center, and the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries successfully intercepted a smuggling attempt involving baby lobsters in the waters of Kampung Laut, East Tanjungjabung, Jambi. The smugglers were found to be in possession of 52 Styrofoam boxes, containing an estimated hundreds of thousands of baby lobster fry without valid delivery documents. The confiscated baby lobsters, packaged in oxygenated containers, were reoxygenated and transported to Jakarta for release into the wild. The operation highlighted the cooperation between various agencies in combating illegal fishing and protecting the economic value of baby lobsters.
