A delegation led by Brazilian Minister Marcos Pontes, along with businessmen and the CCAB – Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, is on a visit to the Arab countries, starting with Jordan and moving on to Egypt and Morocco. The delegation explored the potential for Brazilian fish exports to Jordan, which could become a major hub for fishing in the Arab world. Brazil, a leading fish producer, saw an average growth of 5.6% in its fish farming industry since 2014 and generated R$ 8 billion from this activity in 2021. The delegation highlighted the quality of Brazilian fish and pointed out that the Tambaqui and Pacus species were particularly popular.
