The main markets in Rio Grande do Sul registered average values of R$ 64.00 per sack, while in Paraná the prices varied between R$ 64.00 and R$ 66.00. The harvest in Paraná reached 60% of the sown area this week. In Rio Grande do Sul, there are still no consolidated statistics, although, at the beginning of the month, about 10% of the crops were in the maturation phase. The scenario is influenced by the entry of cheaper Argentine wheat, which, coupled with currency appreciation, has led Brazilian sellers to reduce the prices of the national product again to maintain competitiveness.
