The number of bankruptcy filings in the agribusiness sector reached a new record in the third quarter of 2025, reflecting the worsening financial conditions of the sector. According to data from Serasa Experian, the period saw 628 requests, more than double the 254 registered in the same quarter of 2024, marking the highest volume since 2021. The movement includes individual and corporate rural producers, as well as companies linked to the agribusiness chain, and indicates greater pressure on credit in a scenario of high costs and the need for financial reorganization.
