High-altitude coffee from the Puno jungle has once again shone in Europe. In the 11th International Competition of Roasted Coffees by Origin, organized by the Agricultural Products Valorization Agency (AVPA) in Paris, France, coffee farmer Marco Toque Puma, from the Alto Tunkimayo sector, San Pedro de Putina Punco district, Sandia province, obtained the "Gourmet Silver" medal. This triumph is joined by coffee farmers from the Kinsacruz sector of Sandia. Flavio Aguilar Ramos, from the Inambari Cooperative with the Coffee Warma brand, obtained a Silver Medal; and Flavio Ccori Soncco, from the CECOVASA Cooperative with the Tunki Coffee brand, achieved the Gourmet Medal. Coffee farmer Marco Toque, a member of the San Jorge Agrarian Coffee Cooperative, cultivates at over 1500 meters above sea level varieties Geisha, Bourbon, Caturra, and Típica, which allowed him to achieve a bean of exceptional flavor and finesse, with guaranteed traceability.
