Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce, Mr. Jurin Laksanawisit, has set a goal for Thailand's fruit exports to surpass 180 billion baht this year, marking a 30% increase. This follows the successful negotiation with 37 countries, leading to orders worth over 2 billion baht. The southern and northern regions of Thailand have also engaged in business matching negotiations, contributing 1,865 million baht. In total, the exports have generated 131,166 million baht, with durian, mango, longan, mangosteen, and coconut being the top fruits. To further boost exports, initiatives such as Online Business Matching, promotion of Thai fruits in department stores, and sales through e-commerce platforms like bigbasket and Tmall are underway. A policy has also been introduced to provide support to provincial commerce in negotiating and trading.
