Kazakh oilseed processors are planning to increase exports of oil and fat products to Iran, following a 133% increase in exports to the country compared to the previous marketing year. The main market for Kazakh fat and oil products is Iran, which imports about 1.5 million tons of vegetable oils annually, including 50% sunflower oil. Yadykar Ibragimov, Chairman of the National Association of Oilseed Processors (NAPMK), stated that the development of exporting oil and fat products to Iran requires the establishment of oil tank farms at Caspian Sea ports with a capacity of at least 5 thousand tons.
