Kazakhstan entered the top 5 exporters of sunflower meal to the EU

This season, Kazakhstan has strengthened its position in the EU oilseed market. Based on the results of 4 months of MY 2023/24 (July-October), it rose to 5th place in the list of suppliers of sunflower meal to this region (last season for this period, Kazakhstan was in 6th position). APK-Inform reports this with reference to data from the European Commission. Thus, in July-October 2023/24 MY, Kazakhstan exported 24.15 thousand tons of sunflower meal to the EU (versus 9.87 thousand tons for the same period last season). The largest monthly volume was shipped in October 2023 – 11.65 thousand tons (versus 5.57 thousand tons in October 2022). According to the European Commission, the main volume of Kazakh sunflower meal was exported to Sweden (12.6 thousand tons).
