Kazakhstan entered the TOP 5 exporters of sunflower meal to the EU

This season, Kazakhstan has strengthened its position in the EU oilseed market. Based on the results of 4 months of MY 2023/24 (July-October), it rose to 5th place in the list of suppliers of sunflower meal to this region (last season for this period, Kazakhstan was in 6th position). The Agrosektor.kz portal reports this with reference to data from the European Commission. According to information, in July-October 2023/24 MY, Kazakhstan exported 24.15 thousand tons of sunflower meal to the EU (compared to 9.87 thousand tons for the same period last season). The largest monthly volume was shipped in October 2023 - 11.65 thousand tons (versus 5.57 thousand tons in October 2022). According to the European Commission, the main volume of Kazakh sunflower meal was exported to Sweden (12.6 thousand tons).
