Kazakhstan increased exports of sunflower and rapeseed oil to China

During January-October of this year, the production of vegetable oils in the country increased by 10.2%, to 549.6 thousand tons, compared to the same period last year. The growth affected soybean (+2.2 times), rapeseed (+ two times) and sunflower oil (+3.2%). But for cotton, on the contrary, there was a noticeable decline in production by 36.2%, reports the Bureau of National Statistics. If we consider the situation with exports, then for sunflower oil there is an increase in supplies abroad by 1.5 times. We are talking about 293.6 thousand tons, or $264.7 million. The main buyers were Uzbekistan - 117.8 thousand tons (+1.7 times) and China - 111.4 thousand tons (+1.9 times). Kazakh oil was also exported to Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Norway. The export of soybean oil also increased - by 19.2%, to 10.1 thousand tons ($8.2 million), which was supplied to Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and China.
