The Republic of Kazakhstan's Ministry of Agriculture has announced an increase in meat exports to Russia and China, with an expected volume of 24.4 thousand tons by 2023. This includes beef, lamb, and a significant increase in poultry meat exports from 13.7 thousand tons to 31.5 thousand tons. The main export destinations include Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Tajikistan, Persian Gulf countries, China, and Japan. The ministry also anticipates the opening of new markets for meat products and the lifting of restrictions on poultry imports from Kazakhstan to China due to foot-and-mouth disease.
