Specifically, the cattle population grew by 2.7% to reach 8.3 million heads. Meanwhile, the number of calves stood at 2.8 million, an increase of 17.8% from the same period last year. The horse population increased by 6.9% to reach 4.4 million horses, including 1 million foals (an increase of 8.8%). The camel population grew by 6.3% to reach 300,000 heads, with the number of camel calves reaching 53,800 heads, an increase of 5.9%. The poultry population increased by 8.8% to reach 485 million heads. The sheep population remained the same as last year at 19.6 million heads; the number of lambs reached 7.7 million heads, an increase of 5%. During the reporting period, the total meat production across all categories nationwide was 102.16 million tons, an increase of 3% from the 2024 projected production. Among these, beef production was 35.88 million tons (projected 35.14 million tons for 2024), mutton production was 11.18 million tons (10.91 million tons), horse meat production was 14.68 million tons (14 million tons), poultry meat production was 33.71 million tons (32.63 million tons), and other meat products reached a production of 3.5 million tons. Milk production reached 349.1 million tons, an increase of 5% from the same period in 2024 (332.4 million tons). Egg production reached 41.567 billion eggs, an increase of 1.5% from the previous year (40.97 billion eggs). Data shows that the gross production value index for Kazakhstan's actual livestock industry is 103.5%, with a production value of 3.3 trillion tenge.
