Between January and October of this year, Kazakhstan experienced a 3.6% increase in food production, totaling 1.8 trillion tenge. Despite this overall growth, there was a decrease in the production of flour, vegetable oil, and sausages. Cereal production saw a significant increase of 5.3%, and there were notable growths in the production of starch products, fruit and vegetable juices, and sugar. The export of agricultural products rose by 2.4% to $950.5 million over the same period last year, with dairy products, pasta, and sunflower oil seeing increased exports. The Minister of Agriculture, Erbol Karashukeev, emphasized the need to increase the share of processed products in total agricultural exports from the current 37% to 70% and stated that the main export markets are the EAEU member states, Central Asian countries, Afghanistan, and Europe.
