The first container train carrying wheat bran has been dispatched from Kazakhstan to China, with future shipments planned to be regular, monthly up to 4 container trains, addressing provinces such as Shaanxi, Hubei, Jiangxi, Hunan and Sichuan. This form of transportation is found to be convenient and economically profitable for Kazakhstani exporters, given the current restriction on grain cargo transportation by China. This movement of grain container trains is also contributing to an increase in the share of containerized freight traffic.
