Kazakhstan, led by Vice Minister Kairat Torebayev, is strategizing to increase its agricultural exports, with a focus on wheat, reaching out to European Union countries like Italy, Latvia, and Spain, as well as Central Asian nations and Afghanistan. The country's export potential for wheat alone is approximately 7-7.5 million tons, complemented by barley and corn. There is also significant potential for exporting oil-bearing crops, exceeding 1 million tons. Kazakhstan's wheat exports to China have seen a notable increase, reaching 538,800 tons in 2023, up from the previous year. The country is also looking to expand its presence in the Middle East and promote its wheat brand in markets such as Pakistan, Indonesia, Brazil, and Malaysia.
