Kazakhstani farmers will receive 402 thousand tons of diesel fuel for the 2026 sowing season at a concessional price.

The situation regarding the provision of fertilizers and preferential diesel fuel to regions was discussed at a meeting of the operational headquarters for spring field works chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of National Economy, Seryk Zhumangarin. This was reported by the government press service. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, it is planned to apply 2.3 million tons of fertilizers across the country in 2026 – 500 thousand tons more than the previous year. However, as noted during the meeting, the work on contracting and shipment is proceeding at insufficient pace. According to operational information from the akimats, contracts have been concluded for the supply of 414 thousand tons of fertilizers, of which 187 thousand tons have been shipped. Only 30 thousand tons have been directed to the southern regions, where the sowing campaign has already begun.
