The USDA unveils the plan with which it seeks to lower the price of beef

The U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary, Brooke L. Rollins, along with the Secretary of the Interior, Doug Burgum; the Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.; and the Small Business Administrator, Kelly Loeffler, announced a set of measures to strengthen the American beef cattle industry. The national herd is at its lowest level in 75 years, while beef demand has grown by 9% over the last decade. Since increasing the size of the national herd requires time, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is investing now to make these markets less volatile for cattle ranchers in the long term and more affordable for consumers. “America’s food supply chain is a national security priority for the Trump Administration.
