Kemendag Partners with Universities to Evaluate Distribution of Minyakita
Revision of the people's cooking oil regulations cannot be done hastily.

REPUBLICA.CO.ID, TANGERANG — The Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) stated that the evaluation regarding the price and distribution of MinyaKita (affordable cooking oil) is still ongoing, even involving studies from universities. The Director General of Domestic Trade (Dirjen PDN) of Kemendag, Iqbal Shoffan Shofwan, said that the government is not stopping the discussion regarding the price of MinyaKita which has not decreased. "We are currently reviewing, because we are also using, what is it called, studies from IPB and Unpad (Padjadjaran University). So we are basing it on those studies. We are revising Government Regulation Number 18 of 2024," Iqbal said at ICE BSD, Tangerang, Banten. Iqbal stated that the revision of the affordable cooking oil regulations cannot be done hastily.
