Key importers have reduced purchases of Kazakh flour

In the first half of 2024, Kazakhstan slightly reduced the volume of wheat flour exports. As APK-Inform reports with reference to official statistics, 856.28 thousand tons of this product were shipped to foreign markets in the first 6 months of this year (895.2 thousand tons in the same period of 2023). The key importers of Kazakhstani wheat flour this year, as in the past, remain Afghanistan and Uzbekistan. Both countries reduced their purchase volumes: Afghanistan - to 569.5 thousand tons (in the first half of 2023 - 576.3 thousand tons), Uzbekistan - more significantly, to 205 thousand tons (in 2023 - 258.6 thousand tons). It is interesting that this year, wheat flour exports from Kazakhstan to Tajikistan (from 16.6 thousand tons to 32.4 thousand tons) and Kyrgyzstan (from 7.5 thousand tons to 21.4 thousand tons) have increased.
