The Director of the Field Crops Research Institute, along with other officials, inspected the summer field crops research programs at the Sakha Research Station. The inspection covered the maize, rice, leguminous, and fodder crops research departments. The directors received praise for their efforts and the new varieties and hybrids being developed, including short-lived rice varieties, new maize hybrids, new soybean varieties, and summer fodder varieties of sorghum hybrids, sorghum hybrids, fodder cowpeas, and other summer fodder crops. The condition of the research programs was reported as excellent.
