K-Seafood is gaining attention in Canada. The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT) participated in the '2025 K-EXPO: All about K-Style' held in Toronto from September 9th to 12th, promoting the healthiness and premium value of Korean seafood products, attracting the attention of local consumers and buyers (photo). Canada is a major seafood exporter of high-end seafood such as lobster, shrimp, and salmon to the world, but recently, driven by the craze for K-Food and K-Pop, Korean seaweed, dried fish, and squid snacks are gaining popularity. In particular, seaweed is known for its crispy texture, excellent taste, and benefits in inhibiting obesity and cholesterol.
