(Goesan=Yonhap News) Yoon Woo-yong = The Goesan Kimchi Festival in North Chungcheong Province began on the 6th at the Organic Expo Square and will continue until the 9th.
The festival, themed "All the Kimchi in the World, Bonfire Party," combines kimchi culture, camping vibes, and outdoor bonfire experiences.
Activities include one-stop kimchi soaking, drive-through kimchi, eating roasted kimchi, the Republic of Korea Kimchi Master Championship, kimchi experience for foreigners, and kimchi experience for children.
"Village Kimchi Experience Centers" are also operated in 15 villages within the county.
County Mayor Song In-heon said, "I hope many people feel the warm spirit of clean Goesan through kimchi."
Country pickled cabbage, along with sweet corn and green peppers, is a representative agricultural specialty of this region.
