South Korea and Japan jointly conduct on-site investigations of highly pathogenic avian influenza

In order to strengthen surveillance of highly pathogenic avian influenza (AI) in Korea, the National Wildlife Disease Control and Prevention Institute (Director Dong-in Shin), affiliated with the Ministry of Environment, jointly conducted a research project in Miyagi, Japan from the 27th of this month to December 1st in collaboration with the Yamashina Avian Research Institute, a research institute specializing in wild birds in Tokyo, Japan.
