South Korea-Japan joint research on highly pathogenic AI

In order to strengthen surveillance of highly pathogenic avian influenza (AI) in Korea, the National Wildlife Disease Control and Prevention Agency (Director Dong-in Shin), affiliated with the Ministry of Environment, jointly conducted a research project in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan from the 27th to December 1 in collaboration with the Yamashina Avian Research Institute, a research institute specializing in wild birds in Tokyo, Japan. It was announced on the 26th that an on-site survey of bird wintering areas will be conducted.
