The year 2026 is already emerging as critical for European agriculture. Negotiations for the new Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) are running parallel to protests by farmers in Brussels and tough positions from Copa & Cogeca. One of the most discussed scenarios is the possible merging of the two pillars of the CAP – an idea that years ago sounded futuristic, but today seems entirely realistic. "In my personal opinion, combining the two pillars into one is corrupt. You cannot pay for the mistakes of others," says Kostadin Kostadinov. According to him, the "Agriculture" sector in our country is among the most disciplined in terms of control and errors.
