Polish goose exports have seen a decline, with a drop from 20.8 thousand tons in 2016 to 13.9 thousand tons in 2023. Despite this, goose production in the country increased to 1.11 million pieces in 2023. The majority of the goose meat is exported to the European Union, with Germany being the main recipient. The value of goose exports in Poland fluctuated from EUR 92 million in 2018 to EUR 85 million in 2023. The country is a leading producer of geese, feathers, and goose down in Europe. The domestic breed, the White Kołudzka Goose, is the dominant breed in production. A campaign has been effective in changing the perception of goose meat in the country, making it a desirable delicacy.
