Agricultural enterprises in the Krasnoyarsk Territory are set to aid Mongolia by supplying seed potatoes to tackle the issue of late blight, a disease that has significantly impacted Mongolian potato crops due to adverse weather conditions. This collaboration was discussed between Nerguin Gantulga, head of the Department of Agriculture and Food of the Central Aimag of Mongolia, and Ilya Vasiliev, Minister of Agriculture of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The plan includes renewing Mongolia's seed fund with an initial supply of 500 tons of potato varieties. The Krasnoyarsk Territory, having harvested 127.5 thousand tons of potatoes in 2023, is home to enterprises like Dary Malinovki, which focus on import substitution and the development of domestic selections, aiming to provide Mongolian farmers with both high-quality seed production and scientific support.
