The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan is focusing on agricultural diversification to improve food security, lessen import reliance, and increase the income of its citizens. By introducing and promoting the cultivation of new crops like cauliflower, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, and various fruits and oilseeds, the ministry aims to enhance the agro-industrial complex. Research is underway to determine the suitability of these crops, with plans to recommend specific fruits and berries for different regions, thereby boosting farmers' incomes, expanding export potential, and elevating national crop production.
