Kyrgyzstan increased palm oil imports by 45% in January-August 2023

Kyrgyzstan saw a significant increase in palm oil imports between January and August 2023. Import volumes rose by 45% to reach 2.2 thousand tons, equivalent to $2.9 million in dollar terms. Indonesia and Malaysia were the main suppliers, with 807.7 tons and 731.6 tons respectively. The average price for palm oil during this period was $1299 per ton.
