Moving forward with steady progress. The Regional Government of La Libertad, through the Regional Program for Sowing and Harvesting Water, has been doubling efforts to complete the construction of qochas and forest areas in the high Andean parts of our region. As a result of this effort, two qochas are about to be completed for use by farmers, who are mostly dedicated to potato cultivation. In the ecosystem project of the watershed of the Virú-Huamanzaña river in the province of Julcán, two qochas have been executed, named Alto Pajas and Chichinvara. The latter has a sustained progress exceeding 90% for the benefit of more than 80 farmers from the peasant community of Parasive Alto and Bajo in the district of Huaso.
