Lactalis and Danone have found themselves embroiled in a scandal involving the recall of baby milk formulas.

Companies Lactalis and Danone are concerned about the possible presence of the toxin cereulide in baby milk formulas, which led Swiss company Nestlé to recall its products in several countries around the world, reports Just Food. Lactalis also announced the recall of six batches of Picot baby formula due to the presence of cereulide. And Danone, as a precautionary measure, has stopped selling some types of baby milk formulas in Singapore at the request of the local regulatory authority. Company Lactalis reported last week that cereulide was detected in an ingredient obtained from a supplier. For the same reason, Nestlé expanded the scope of its product recall worldwide in January.
