Khammuan Province in Laos has a vast agricultural area of 247,000 hectares, primarily focusing on producing rice, rubber, cassava, sugarcane, and other crops, also cultivating fruits like mangoes and watermelons. The province has seen significant agricultural advancements, especially with the introduction of new technologies in cattle breeding, durian and mango cultivation, seedling cultivation, grafting, and drip irrigation systems. These innovations, largely funded by Chinese investors, aim to boost the efficiency and productivity of the local agricultural sector, thereby enhancing exports and benefiting local farmers.
