The Lao Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry organized a training course in Vientiane from October 20 to 25 for cattle farmers from Xieng Khuang, Bolikhamxay, and Vientiane provinces. The course aimed to teach effective cattle fattening techniques, focusing on using local ingredients for feed, disease prevention, and nutrition improvement. This initiative seeks to reduce dependency on imported cattle feed and improve meat quality for local consumption and export, particularly to China, under a quota agreement allowing Laos to export 500,000 cattle to China.
