[Reporter Hong Lan, Korean Farmers and Fishermen Newspaper] The Korea Forest Service (Chief Kim In-ho) held the 'Third Progress Review Meeting of the Forest Fire Damage Restoration and Recovery Task Force' on the 17th at the Government Daejeon Office to ensure a systematic and swift recovery of the areas affected by the large-scale forest fire in the Yeongnam region (Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam, Ulsan, Daegu) that occurred last March. The meeting was attended by five working groups including the Afforestation and Facility Restoration Team, Emergency Felling Team, Resource Utilization Team, Afforestation and Ecological Restoration Team, and Regional Revitalization Team, as well as local government officials from the major affected areas of Gyeongbuk and Gyeongnam. They shared on-site difficulties and discussed recovery plans. Attendees agreed on △swift support for the recovery of the affected areas △expanding deciduous afforestation and improving restoration achievements.
