Egypt: Launch of the third national campaign to vaccinate livestock against foot-and-mouth disease and Rift Valley fever

Dr. Mamtaz Shaheen, Head of the General Authority for Veterinary Services, announced the launch of the third national campaign for the year 2024 to vaccinate against foot-and-mouth disease in all governorates of the Republic, which includes vaccinating cows, buffaloes, sheep and goats against foot-and-mouth disease and Rift Valley fever. "Shaheen" said in his statements that the campaign comes within the framework of the state's efforts to preserve livestock, provide healthy and safe food for the Egyptian citizen and achieve food security.
