[Korean Farmers and Fishermen Newspaper Reporter Hong Lan] "Forestry workers, thank you for your hard work in protecting the forests so far. From now on, let's move towards profitable forest management." On November 1, to celebrate the '6th Forestry Day,' the Korea Forest Service held a commemorative event at the National Assembly Building with the theme 'Forests that save people, forestry workers who save forests.' The event was attended by Kim In-ho, the head of the Korea Forest Service, Eo Ki-gu, the chairman of the National Assembly's Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries, and Food Committee, and several other members of the Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries, and Food Committee, including Kim Seon-gyo, Im Ho-seon, Lee Won-taek, Lee Byeong-jin, and Moon Dae-rim, along with approximately 400 forestry workers from across the country. This event aimed to reflect on the value of our forests together and to discuss the future of forestry and sustainable forest management.
