The National Agrarian Health Service (Senasa) established the mandatory phytosanitary requirements for the importation of kiwi plants (Actinidia deliciosa and Actinidia chinensis) from Chile.
The measure was made official through Directorial Resolution No. D000041-2025-Midagri-Senasa-DSV, published on November 13 in the Legal Norms bulletin of the official journal El Peruano. The resolution establishes that the shipment must meet 12 requirements, among which the following stand out:
The material must come from nurseries registered by the Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG) of Chile for official export certification.
Additionally, Senasa will authorize nurseries that export kiwi propagation material for the first time.
