Lebanon and Macedonia export more apples than Ukraine

In 2023, the main players maintained their positions in the world ranking of apple exporting countries. The first five are Italy, China, Poland, Iran, and the USA, which supply 700-800 thousand tons per year. Volodymyr Gurzhii, head of the USPA Fruit company, cites such statistics in a publication in the magazine "Gardening in Ukrainian". In the 2022/2023 season, Ukraine exported 46.4 thousand tons and ranks only 27th in the ranking. This is no more than 0.5% of world exports, almost twice less than North Macedonia, four times less than Lebanon and eight times less than Turkey.
