The milder weather after weeks of intense cold has had direct effects on the production of vegetables in Mato Grosso do Sul. At CEASA/MS (Central Supply Hubs of Mato Grosso do Sul), lettuce registered a significant drop of 12.5% in price this week, according to data released by the Market Supply Division (Dimer). The greater availability of the product is linked to the increase in local supply, as a large part of the lettuce production is cultivated within the state itself, reducing logistics costs and strengthening regional farmers.
