Lettuce production in São Paulo's green belt has seen a boost due to favorable weather conditions, with feet in Mogi das Cruces and Ibiúna benefiting the most. However, as temperatures start to drop, hardwood consumption is expected to decrease. To prevent high volumes of crop residues, harvest rates have been slowed down. Despite the milder climate, iceberg lettuce prices in Ibiúna slightly decreased by 0.3% from the previous week, averaging R$27.92 for a box of 12 units. Similarly, crespa lettuce in Mogi das Cruzes also saw a price drop of 20.2%, with an average of R$ 28.50/box for 20 feet.
